Inspection

1. Pre-Production (PPI)

The inspection will be done in supplier facility,conducted on first-off product the ensure the conformity prior to mass production.

OQCS will:

  1. Take at least 35 units of samples (will be returned to facility)
  2. Perform measurement on critical dimensions/characteristics
  3. Performing CpK calculation on the critical dimension/characteristics
  4. Reviewing process flow
  5. Reviewing the control plan on the product and re-confirming the inspection on raw material.
  6. Submit the finding to client in a report
  7. With the client authorization, OQCS will have the staff to inform the production whether to start production or to hold till actions completed.

For the finish product that does not have critical characteristics, OQCS will review the visual of the 35 units.

This PPI will require one to two man-hour. If the client authorize us to provide a recommendation to supplier, additional one man-hour will be needed.

2. During Production (DPI / DuPro)

The inspection will be conducted in supplier site when at least 30% of the order has been completed to ensure that the contractual obligations regarding product specification, packaging, marking/labelling are met.

This inspection can only be done when the packaging material ready in the supplier site.

OQCS will:

  1. Take at least 5 units of production sample randomly and performing measurement on critical characteristics
  2. reviewing all product specification, packaging and marking requirement and comparing with actual products
  3. Reviewing the implementation of control plan, whether the production is conducted according to the control plan.
  4. Submit the finding to client in a report
  5. Inform the supplier to stop the production when it deems needed and the client will have to authorize whether to continue production after reviewing the report.

This DPI will require one man day. Additional man-day will be needed if there is a follow up inspection done after the production stop.

3. Pre-Shipment (PSI / Final Random Inspection)

The inspection will be conducted in supplier site OR in consolidating warehouse to ensure that the products meet the contractual requirement.

This pre-shipment inspection can only be conducted when the total quantity meet at least 80% of the actual order.

OQCS will:

  1. Count the quantity to ensure that the total quantity available for random sampling is meeting 80% of the total order quantity
  2. Take random sampling based on quantity determined by the inspection standard
  3. Inspecting the products based on the inspection standard
  4. Providing report to the client and the client will have to authorize the release or not based on the report

This DPI will require one to two man-day service depending on the complexity of the product.

4. Container Loading Supervision (CLS)

It is carried out in the manufacturer's warehouse or at the forwarder's premises. This will ensure that the right product and the right quantity is being delivered.

OQCS will:

  1. Ensure that the number of boxes is the same as packing list and Purchase Order
  2. Randomly open at least 3 export carton to ensure that the quantity in the boxes and the products in the boxes are correct.
  3. Ensure that the container is in a good condition
  4. Ensure that all export cartons are loaded into the container
  5. Recording container information, such as lock number etc.
  6. Providing the CLS report to client and supplier

This CLS will require one man-day per container.

5. 100% inspection

When the client deem need to perform 100% inspection, OQCS will perform inspection in either supplier site or distribution warehouse.

The inspection can only be done when 100% of the products as per order has been completed / ready.

OQCS will:

  1. Ensure that the visual mechanical is correct
  2. Ensure that each of the product is functioned properly prior to shipment.
  3. All damaged product has to be replaced and re-inspected
  4. providing the inspection report and final quatity - if there is a deviation due to rejects - to the client
  5. OQCS will NOT perform dimensional measurement for any quantity exceeding 35 units.

This inspection will require at least two man-day depending on the complexity and quantity of the products. Exact quote will be given after quantity and sample has been given
